The Coach
Here at HPSS, we believe an effective coach plans ahead and learns from previous experiences. While understanding and appreciating the strengths and weaknesses of individual athletes. However, the sky's the limit in terms of what you believe you are capable of as you start out or continue with your coaching journey. That is why our coaching framework at HPSS aims to help you in any way we can. Both members of our sports department have in-depth history working with student athletes and coaches, meaning we have had a variety of experiences under our belt. These skills are at your disposal to use to assist you this year. Be it wanting assistance to plan your training, help to create and set a strong culture within your side, or some specific coach development work. We are also actively looking for any development programmes that can help with personal/coach development for our coaches. If this is an aspect that interest you we are happy to discuss these options.
The Manager
As the team’s manager you play a pivotal role in the overall success of the team throughout the season. The majority of your duties revolve around providing the necessary management, communication and support for the coach, players and sporting staff at the school.
Communication
Majority of our communication with students and coaching staff is done through the aforementioned app called ‘Heja’. You will need to download this here, if you have not yet done so . Once you have downloaded the app, it will ask you for a code to put in. We will send this code out which will give you access to your specific team chat. We will get you set up with a group but it is your responsibility to update schedules and communicate to students through this.
Another means of communication is done through our social media pages (Instagram and Facebook). This is were we will post our trainings and draws, upcoming events as well as any updates or changes that affect our teams. If you have not yet followed either of these pages, it is recommended you do so to keep up to date.
